In December 2004, NBSPCA Animal Protection Officers removed 40+ dogs from a puppy mill near Edmunston.  Our inspector Marguerite Diotte, assisted with the removal and our shelter received 20 of the animals.  As with most puppy mills, the dogs were emaciated, filthy, and had various untreated injuries especially to the eyes.  Photos are posted below. 

We are happy to report that all dogs have been treated and adopted to good and loving homes.
